The Ilesha Charitable Trust is a private family trust that makes on-going and impact donations to Science, Technology, Sport, Social Mobility and Diversity initiatives and causes.
The trust was founded by Tunji Akintokun MBE in memory of his parents Mr Adetunji Akintokun and Mrs Olufunmilayo Akintokun whom had both sadly passed away by the time he was 11 years old.
We provide those for those with ability with access to opportunity to fulfil their potential!
On-going portfolio of charities supported by the trust include 100 Black Men of London, AbleChildAfrica, Black Cultural Archives, CASPA Autism, National Deaf Children's Society, Precious Sight Foundation, Sickle Cell Society and Westside Young Leaders Academy.
The trust provides a minimum of 2 bursaries annually and to date has provided over 20 bursaries for students studying at Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Exeter, South Bank, LSE, Durham, Bournemouth, Manchester and Harvard.
Grants have been provided to artists and sportspeople. This enabled artists to be launched with top London galleries and covering sports including athletics and fencing.
The trust makes a number of impact donations to important causes including contributions towards the building of the African and Caribbean War Memorial in Brixton.
The Ilesha Charitable Trust proudly awards an annual Engineering Prize to the top student from an underrepresented background at London South Bank University.
We have proudly supported the African Gifted Foundation School in Ghana.
